PS3 Software Guidelines |
The designers of the PS3
have made a PS3
software as easy to understand as is possible right now. PS3 software
includes an operating system. It's true, that now Sony included a
special operating system on the PS3. This PS3 software is called
System Software. It's not really unique, but this operating system
gives a comfortable management of the game console. PS3 software can be
updated on the official web-site of Sony. Also you can
download it
on your personal computer and then install it on the PS3. The updates
might be needed for special games.
However PS3 software (now we are talking about an operating system) can
be Linux. It's one of the best and easiest software in the world. There
are specials tips of how to install this PS3 software on your game console, but if you
do that you
won't regret.
PS3 software also includes Xross Media Bar (is pronounced Cross Media
Bar, and abbreviated XMB). This toolbar consists of nine categories:
Settings, Photo, Users, Game, Video, Network, Friends and PlayStation
network. Also PS3 software includes an ability to copy files from audio
CD. And there is a built in web browser (supports upload and download
functions) and a mail program (like Microsoft Outlook). So with new PS3
software you may not only play but you may work in the Internet and
work with your e-mails.
There is additional PS3 software, which you must install by yourself.
The listed above PS3 software is pre-installed on every unit.
Additional PS3 software includes software for copying and making backup
files for games and special features - like graphical booster, music
codecs etc. If you ask me about the laws that restrict to copy games,
then we can say, that you do that and take all the risk on yourself.
