PS3 Controller Review |
In the new version of PS3
there is a new
version of PS3 controller. But one of the cons of the new game console
from Sony is that in basic complectation there is only one PS3
controller (instead of two controllers in previous versions of the game
console). The price
for a new PS3
controller without the unit itself is from $60 to $150 (it
depends on a provider and the model - it can be a basic model or a
premium model for crazy gamers). But sometimes in the stores we can see
a PS3 with an additional PS3 controller and the price is higher for
about $20-$40. It's a good deal for those people who want to buy a new
PS3 with not only one PS3 controller but with two of them.
A new PS3 controller is called Dual Shock 3. It is designed on the base
of PS2
controller (Dual Shock 2) and
has almost all features of the previous model. But a PS3
controller has some more additional changes. New PS3 controller is
wireless
and can operate for up to 32 hours on a full charge. In previous models
the battery with not be replaceable, and with many discussions the
designers of the new PS3 controllers decided to make a replaceable
battery to make the service of the PS3 controller longer. The main
feature of the new PS3 controller is to sense both rotational
orientation. In other words, PS3 controllers has the motion-sensing
feature. This feature was included in the PS3 controller almost before
the official release of the controller. Many people think that this is
the answer of the Sony to including of this feature in the controller
of the Wii.
Also in the new PS3 controller the precision is increased (up to
10-bit). In the Dual Shock 2 there was an 8-bit precision.
Appeared a button "PS button", that gives an opportunity to access to
the home menu (in the previous version this
button called "Analog").
